1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller of the data collected by this site is FIRMA "METJAN" mgr inż. Janusz Podżorny, ul. Ignacego Daszyńskiego 61, 43-450 Ustroń, Poland, NIP 5481041557, REGON 072251789 (from the Polish business register CEIDG). For anything about personal data, write to slusarnia.metjan@gmail.com.
Wojciech Olech runs metjan.pl and the Google Ads campaigns on METJAN’s behalf.
2. What we collect and why
Showing you the site. The site is served by Google Firebase Hosting. On every visit the server processes the technical data needed to deliver it, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. Google keeps this in server logs for a few months to protect the service against abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Google Ads measurement, only with your consent. If you accept "Advertising and measurement", the site loads Google Tag Manager and the Google Ads tag; loading those scripts alone sends your IP address to Google. Google stores the cookies listed below in your browser and records whether, after clicking an ad, you tapped a phone number or the email address or called through a forwarding number. That shows us in the Google Ads account which ads bring enquiries. Google may also use this data to tailor ads. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the Polish Electronic Communications Law on storing information on a user’s device). Without consent none of this happens.
Calls through a Google forwarding number. To people who came from a Google ad and gave consent, the site may show a Google forwarding number instead of METJAN’s number. The call goes straight to METJAN. Google connects it and shows in the Google Ads account when it happened, how long it lasted and the caller’s area code. We don’t see the caller’s full number. Legal basis: your consent.
Calling or emailing METJAN. When you call or write to METJAN, the call or message goes directly to METJAN, which answers your enquiry. This site does not record calls or messages.
4. Who else can access the data
Apart from the person who runs the site and the campaigns on METJAN’s behalf (section 1), the only recipient is Google: Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) and Google LLC (USA), as the provider of Firebase Hosting, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads. Google may transfer data to the USA. Google LLC participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and transfers are also covered by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
We don’t sell data and don’t pass it to anyone else.
5. How long
We don’t keep any visitor data ourselves beyond what the Google Ads account shows.
- Your cookie choice (cc_cookie): 6 months, then the site asks again.
- Google cookies on metjan.pl: as in the table above, or until you withdraw consent.
- Firebase Hosting server logs: a few months, under Google’s rules.
- Click and call data in Google Ads: under Google’s data retention rules.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing and receive it in a portable form, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw consent at any time under "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page; that does not affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew.
Write to the address in section 1. Some data exists only in your browser (cookies) or at Google; the simplest way to delete it is to withdraw consent or clear the cookies in your browser.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Polish data protection authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw.
Consent is voluntary, and refusing does not limit your use of the site. We make no decisions based solely on automated processing that would have legal effects for you.
7. Changes to this policy
Changes are announced on this page with a new version number. If a change affects what you consent to, the site asks for your consent again.
